Laptop configuration - 12/23/08 07:22 AM

Dear all,

I need a laptop who can easily run caesar 5.00 and 5.1 with C2 files up to 20Mo.
The IT manager ask me to provide him the configuration I need (ie : brand, model, mother card and graphic card name and so on)
Does anyone has an advice. Do you have a laptop yourself witch works well?

Thanks in advance

Laetitia,

I use an older Dell notebook - a Inspiron 9300 (17 inch screen) with a Pentium "M" processor (1.60 GHz), 2 gig of RAM running Windows XP Professional. I use a Dell 21 inch external monitor so I can have the graphic on the "big" screen while I have the spreadsheet on the laptop - this computer supports tho "screens" with no add-on options. I use 3 Iomega external hard drives of 500 gigs each to store files.

I find that the extra monitor is very useful when using Caesar II.

I am sure that Dell has much more powerful laptops now and perhaps my current laptop is considered an "antique" in the pipe stress analysis world but it still serves me well.
