Does anyone know how to model an air cooler using Caesar ??? How can I determine the nozzle loads and compare against the allowable loads as per API 661 or equipment manufacturer ????
thanks

Please read the previous posts by using search tool located on above right. Use such keyword "cooler" for example. For The allowable please refer to API 661; 6.1.10-Maximum Allowable Moments and Forces for Nozzle and Headers. Pay attention also to the para. 6.1.10.3 if you have one multi-bundle bay. You can also use module under main menu: Analysis >> API 661.

Thank you Sam, but my question is basically related to the way the nozzles and equipment itself are modelled in Caesar, I know we can model in several ways but I want to know what is the best and most commonly used approach

Often nozzle displacements due to thermal growth and header box lateral movement limitations are applied.
