Inquiries about new version 5.10 (Build 080512) - 10/23/08 12:38 PM

Hello Everyone (Rich/Dave),

Recently, our system gurus installed the new version 5.10 (build 080512) in all of our PCs. The old version 5.0 were all uninstalled for some reasons... For previous version (4.5), the v.5.0 can be installed without uninstalling the older v.4.5.

My concern is, we are in the midst of our project schedule and the client requirement is only v.5.0, but, most of our guys have already opened the stress files using the new v.5.1.

Can we convert the newer versions (5.1) back to the older versions (5.0) by making a neutral file?

Also, can we install both version on the same PC without uninstalling either version?

Thanks in Advance.

You didn't need to uninstall 5.00.

Can you go back via the neutral file - I think all you need to do is edit out the $FLANGE section for this to work.

Thanks for the reply.

I guess I can try this out when our system gurus install back the v.5.0.

If the #$ Flange section is empty (no flange in the system), do I need to delete this title line? Are there any comforting edits that I need to watch out while doing this.

Thank you again.

Yes you need to delete the "header line". Version 5.00 won't know what this is.
