Model Pump - 10/22/08 06:22 AM

Hello!

I don't have very experience in to work with Ceasar II.

I want to model one suction pump line. The anchor need to be in pump center. I know which is necessary to use Cnode and rigid element.

I believe which the discharge line have same procedure. After to analyse the system i need to verify the loads nozzle.

Thak you

The only reason to use the CNODE at the pipe/pump interface is so that these loads appear in the restraint report.

Once your flexibilitiy analysis is complete, you can select the API-610 option from the "Analysis" menu to evaluate the pump.

Hi Schiavinatto,

In addition... there are defferent technique posted in this forum on how to model a conservative pump analysis.. As for example in my practice I stop modeling at flange with anchor and declaring my cnode for the displacement of pump nozzle. And in there.. you can start API analysis as what Sir Rich posted.

Regards!
