Hanger load

Hanger load - 10/19/08 07:33 PM

Another elementary (silly?) question for seasoned CII users.

I have couple of "undesigned" hangers in my model. In the load case editor, if I have the 2 default hanger selection cases as W and W+D1+T1+P1, I am getting a warning message that "hanger loads exist in the model but were not included for hanger restrained weight (/operating) run". The message vanishes if I include H in above load cases.

I have checked over and over again that I do not have predefined hanger loads in the model (I have even removed all the hangers and included them back again).

The hanger selection/output is identical in both cases - when I run the analysis ignoring the warning (and without H) or when the load cases have H added.

Can somebody please explain?

cheers,

just to officially acknowledge (as I submitted the problem in the public forum) and appreciate the prompt response from Coade which helped me fix the problem. There were issues re using the latest build and registry entry in my computer - nothing really pertaining to the software.

Thanks heaps Coade support team.
