Viewing Caesar Reports with limited versions

Viewing Caesar Reports with limited versions - 01/07/04 11:46 PM

I noticed that in the time-limited version of Caesar that you cannot view reports for old calculations once the time limit has expired. Is there any way around this? (I hope I'm not asking anything illegal here) I can understand why the program should prevent you from running further calculations, but locking up the output too?

Also i noticed that the run-limited version of the software is incompatible with the time-limited dongle and vice versa. Again, is there a reason for this, and is there any way around it? It's quite bothersome to have to uninstall and reinstall different versions of the same program.

Hope these aren't dumb questions.

Thanks

Version 4.50 should allow access to the output module for report review with an expired ESL. Note, this is a change we made for Version 4.50. Prior versions won't allow this.

Yes there is a specific reason why a limited run ESL won't allow access to the date limited version of the software. The date limited version is essentially a full run version (i.e. no run limit), with an expiration date. In the past, we had users update full run copies by purchasing a limited run version. This is how we prevent this from happening.

You don't have to continually reinstall the software. If you have both date limited and run limited versions and ESLs, install both in different directories. Then, name the desktop icons appropriately to reflect the necessary ESL. As long as both installations are the same version (i.e. 4.40 or 4.50), you won't have any problems. Mixing versions is tough because the data files are not downward compatible.
