lift off check - 09/29/08 11:26 PM

Sirs,

In operation condition some supports are lifting up means DY is greater than zero but sustained condition those supports are taking load.
BUt in both case oper. & sustain case those stress are within allowable.

In this condition somebody advised to go lift of check.
How to do lift off check?
I think we have to remove the lifted (DY>0) supports and run the model and check the stress in Operating condition only not sustain case ?

Is it correct or not? Pl clarify.

Regards,

linga

Please read the article, "Hazardous situation created by improper analysis", by L.C. Peng and it is mandatory to check the sustained stress for lift-up case.

Paldex,

Use the "Reply" link instead of the "Quick Reply" box. This will give you a new page with many more options for formatting your post, in addition to a [File Manager] button.
