Does anyone know easy way to input the displacement?

Now I'm calculating lines in FPSO module so there are many deflections of structure to be input in CAESAR.

I would like to copy the deflection data that is saved in EXCEL and paste it on CAESAR but it did not work.

it takes long time to input the deflection data into each node one by one.

Thank you,
Koichi

We added a feature in V5.10 allowing you to read in sets of displacements.

In the Input, click on Tools, then Import Displacements from File.

I suggest you first EXPORT a file to see the structure; maybe fill it with displacements for all the nodes that will eventually be displaced. Then recreate a new file with your new data. You can use Excel or the like to build up this data set.

Dave,

Thank you for your reply.

I'm afraid but I could not understand what you said completely.
could you tell me more detail?
EXPORT means Neurtal file?

Thank you,

Did you click on Tools/Import Displacements in the Input Processor?

I think the effort on your part to give it a try would be more productive than my effort to put it in words.

The Import Displacements capability was added in Version 5.10.

With older versions of C2 - copy individual displacement values from your data set and paste them into individual cells in the C2 displacement table.
