Non convergence of buried pipelines

I know what to look for and what to try when I have an above ground pipeline that will not converge, but what do I try if my underground pipeline will not converge?

Exactly the same thing.

As a last resort, go back to the original model and adjust the soil parameters slightly, and re-bury the model. This will result in different soil stiffnesses which may aid convergence.
