Regarding Structural Modelling - 05/21/08 04:00 AM

Hi Guys..

I want to know the use of structural modeling in CAESAR II?

Is it the work of pipingh engineer to build structural model?

While analysing structural model, why it doesn't show the stresses generated on structural elements?

Can anybody help me on this?

CaesarII doesn't calculate stresses in structural steel. It uses the structural model to calculate the stiffness of the restraint. This way restrain stiffness is included in the piping model in stead of using ultimate stiff restraints.
