Bermuda Triangle

Bermuda Triangle - 05/07/08 03:01 PM

I have a fairly simple piping model with approximately 15 bends and after conducting a couple stress analyses I checked out the animation for the fifth or sixth time. Once I clicked on the animation button and the animation appeared my piping isometric completely changed into a triangle with three nodes! I ran an analysis on this isometric a couple times and checked the animation with no related issues.

So, is there something I selected to only view three nodes somehow in a different shape than my isometric? Please help.

What Version and Build of c2 is this?

The graphics are designed to "degrade" (first to pipes with flat faces, then to square pipes, then to triangular pipes) if the amount of rendering to be done exceeds the abilities of the graphics card. The "amount of rendering to be done" is a function of model size and the requested action.

Try the "single line" animation and see if that works.

The Version I am using is Caesar II 5.00.

Are you referring to single line vs. volume mode? I switched back and forth and nothing happened. In fact no animation or movement of the model occurs at all. It's weird.

Yes I'm referring to the single line mode. If you don't see any motion here then your model is probably very large (distance wise) compared to the displacement magnitude. Try zooming in to various parts of the model.

I did zoom into the model when it was a triangle and it just showed a more detailed triangle. But, I just opened up my animation and the piping iso that I drew before became present finally. So, I have no idea what I did.
