Rod support

hi to all
i am new to casar 5.1 how i design rod support in help file its mention hanger but its used as a special type of support. can anyone suggest inseret of rod which support is used.when i suggest z it will give same result i.e allowble of nozzle load does not varies but displacement only change difference is 6 to 20 mm in case of occsanical only.

which book is best for support detail?

c2 won't design a rod support for you. You pick a node that you think needs a vertical support and simply specify a "Y" support. Now, if the results indicate that there is significant upward load, or significant horizontal movement, then you the Engineer must decide if a YROD would be a better support model at this location.

Once your satisfied with the performance of the system, and you have the forces and moments at the supports, then you can design the support details.

in what cases wind load will be act?
how i suggest wind load in caser5.1 wind is .65 maximum....
what u mean by uniform load?

I can't really answer this one. Check your project specifications, this should be detailed there.

I presume you mean your Shape Factor is 0.65? To define the wind loads, use the [Wind] tab of the Static Load Case Editor.
