All round guides

I have seen very few analysts and consulting engineering companies using "all round guide " in their systems . Could anybody throw light on why the use is much limited ? Apart from these guides generating adverse vertical reactions ( which can be avoided by using these guides at places away from long vertical rising legs) , I do not feel these are having any other feature which should discourage their use by analysts.

I fully agree with your view.There cannot be any "adverse effect solely offered by these supports". I have used in on many occasions and no one has commented on the rationale of their use.
