Generating Iso

Hi,

While getting isos do I have to extract all off the pipelines or can I select the ones which I need?

In my model I have 6 pipelines. But when I tried to get isos it gave 3 pipelines' isos and gave them 3 times. Isn't it strange?

CAESAR II will create the isometric for all the elements of your model. So if you want isometric drawing(s) for part of your model, you need to cut the unwanted part by yourself, of course you'd better to make a backup copy before you try that.

Sometimes, CAESAR II will write more than one pcf files for one "big" piping model, and personal isogen dlls will generate several drawing files for one pcf files, called sheet splitting.

Therefore, what you experienced is quite normal, the most important thing is no message saying "errors in processing pcf files".

To solve this issue I normally do the following:
- calculate the model (all lines)
- annotate the model
- create new directory "Drawing models"
- copy the calculated model and rename it to show line ID
- do the copying as many times as I have lines (Do not use Save As from CAESAR II)
- Open each model and using list delete all elements not belonging to the line
- Iso the lines. Because the model name is line name it is good description for the drawing. I also include the model revision number into the name.

If you are familiar with isogen, then you can create a bigger backing sheets, let's say A1 or A0, by using "Isogen Project Manager" from Tools pull down menu, then large models look better in larger backing sheets.
