Hello all
i have modeled a snubber for a 30" flare line against earthquake load.
and it has been modeled in static module, actually i dont understand how caesar convert such a dynamic load to static??
[Gravitational loading is used most often to model the static equivalent of a dynamic earthquake loading]
thanks in advance

Snubbers in the static module will take any and all loads, it will not know which is the occasional load, that is unless you take the following steps:

1) Run an OPE case with all loads (without the snubbers active), except for the occasional load.

2) Note all six displacements at the snubber node.

3) Go back to input and add your snubber with a Cnode. Displace the Cnode according to the displacements you noted in step 1 above.

4) Activate snubbers for the OPE case in input that include your occasional load.
