CAD and CAESAR II - 03/07/03 11:05 PM

Dear,all
I would like to know whether CAESARII can import a model file created by Autoplant(CAD) in order to take the complex pipeline to be analysed in CAESARII.
And Is there any CAD progrom can be used aside from CAD/worx , such as solid work or ProEngineer ?

Regards,
Tage

CAESAR II has quite a few CAD interfaces. From the Main Menu, select "Tools\External Interfaces" to see the complete menu.

With regards to Autoplant, yes there is an interface. Within Autoplant, generate a PCF file. Then, in CAESAR II, use the "External Interfaces" menu and select the PCF interface. This will allow you to read in the PCF neutral file and create a CAESAR II neutral file.

At the moment there is not an interface between CAESAR II and Solidworks or Pro-Engineer. The CAESAR II - CADWorx system is by far the best to use, because the data transfer is seamless and complete in both directions. There are a number of articles on this web site describing facility.
