Caesar II - exhaust pipe suspension - 08/24/22 12:33 AM

Dear All,

That's my first post on this forum, and I would like to take this opportunity to say Hi to whole community wink

I've got a question to C2 experts:

I need to develop a pipe stress analysis for exhaust system pipeline which is supported with Rubber Design Stabilizers. See pic. below.

stabilizers:

How would you define restraints in Caesar II to simulate this situation in proper way?

So far I was familiar only with typical supporting for steel and GRE pipes with clamps - there was no need to use any more advanced restraints than typical rest, guide and limit stop combinations.

I would really appreciate any advices.
Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Kajetan

Hi Kajetan,

Welcome to this forum.

Unfortunately, this forum will become an archive of the posts issued in the past if I correctly understand.
In my opinion you can model as rods at 60 degree apart from vertical. I do not think that more complex model is required. Of course the rubber is for the vibration. If you need more complex model I guess yu can send the query to the official service center.

(I know how it is when nobody answer, so I try to make you feel better smile )
