Flang Check temp range

Flang Check temp range - 08/17/22 05:15 PM

Hello,
I have a 6inch , 300# flange and I wanted to do a flange check where I was not getting results, my load cases are setup correctly where I included my temperate in the load cases of flange check.
Our input temperature that we used was 1015 deg F, where the max range for the temp in the flange check tab in Caesar 2 is 1000 deg F representing 85 Psi pressure for Peq flange check analysis. nothing is available after that range,

Now the ASME B16.5-2020 , table 2-2.5C , shows a range from -20 F to 1500 F for the A182 Gr. F347 material,
What I have to do to cover the range?
Thank you.

Have you tried inputting the temperature/pressure profile manually?

It may work, but the thing is that for the 0 to 1000 degree range , the numbers in the Caesar 2 table is not matching the 2020 ASME B16.5 table 2-2.5C table (using 300# column) for the material A182 Gr. F347H. This table has different numbers. for example at 500 deg F , C2 has 665 psi pressure (for grade ASME-2003-300-1.2) and B16.5 shows 540 psi pressure.
I can add the numbers after the 100 degree F range to the table , it will work I guess, but how valid will be the analysis.

File a "Support Request" with Smart Support. You didn't say what version of c2 you were using, but even V12 does not address the 2020 editions. That will be V13.
