export gometry from CII V.12 to CII 2013 - 06/07/22 04:20 AM

i have a caesar model version caesar V.12.

i need to export geometry in caesar 2013 (client asked for it, no comment)

i tried to export .cii file from v12 but importing in 2013 i obtain error because maybe .cii file changed from 2013 to v.12 (it says "ERROR AT ROW 78")

how can i do? i don't want to re-model all model geometry by hand frown

I never quite succeeded in this, myself. What I do remember is that in 2017, CAESAR added the capacity to have 6 restraints instead of 4. That would have to be something that's corrected if applicable.

Then it's a matter of exporting to a neutral file, which is text-based, and modify it to fit what 2013 expects a neutral file to look like.

Unfortunately, I don't know what all steps that might include, but you might be able to make smaller test files and compare those to get some idea.

If you go to FEA Translation you can choose Translate to different version only. Then in the right side of the Output field there are some arrows that give you possibility to access some other options like to export in cii format or c2 format. There is a field in the right where you can choose the version (down to 6.1).
