moving "element" matrix list if out of screen - 12/23/20 11:56 AM

i have 2 monitors. i put caesar (2019) on first monitor and the "element" matrix list window in second monitor (togethere with "material" list, and other lists).

if i disconnect one monitor and restart windows and caesar, caesar is still on first monitor but... list are nowhere! is like they stay out of monitor.

how can i move the lists from unkown loation to first monitor, without seeing them?

Here is a similar issue someone else reported upon.

It may be as simple as disabling it (or them) and re-enabling it (or them).

Window positions (screen locations) are saved in the system Registry. When you pull up an earlier window, it is displayed in the previous position, as acquired from the Registry.

The Registry doesn't know you disconnected a monitor. There are two solutions:
1) Re-connect the monitor and move the windows back to the primary monitor.
2) Use RegEdit and delete the keys for the module where the windows display on the secondary monitor. (NOTE, this option is not for the faint of heart.)

I suppose that would be possible. But this isn't a problem restricted to c2. I have that with my laptop and MS Outlook. If I have email an a second monitor, and disconnect that monitor, Outlook restarts in never-never-land.

Most windows applications (like Outlook) can moved be about using the Windows Key + arrow keys. CAESAR's context windows can't be modified thusly.

Thus it would make sense if there were a "reset layout" menu command.
