Hello.

Is there any way to get useful support loads for buried supports? Since the buried pipe modeler removes all the density input from buried pipe, I feel like adding a rigid restraint in after the modeler has been run would not give an accurate result.

The flexible restraints generated by the soil modeler don't take the place on the removed mass values, right?

I'm not sure this is really a CAESAR question?

If your pipe supports are 6" wide, separated by 20', the soil is holding up 19'-6" of pipe while each support is "holding up" 6" of pipe.

If it's pipe settlement or pipe buoyancy in wet soil that's the design concern, you should probably handle this by hand, or run the pre-buried model, for a sustained case.

If you have engineered underground pipe anchors, you can add an additional flexible restraint amongst the generated soil restraints with a higher stiffness than that of the soil restraints. Using a section of large pipe amongst "normal" piping wouldn't be the worst approximation of an anchor.

Do you have any additional detail you could share about your design?
