Converting displacements from Global to Local coordinates

Converting displacements from Global to Local coordinates - 12/16/19 04:56 PM

I saw an old post about a global to local transformation tool by Richard Ay. Is this tool still available and where is it located?

"There is also a utility on SmartSupport (Global to Local) that can be used to convert a single set of values (displacements or forces) from the global coordinate system to a local (element) system."

I am trying to get the axial and lateral displacement of my pipe (which is at a 45 degree angle to the global coordinate system).

It's called "glbtolocal". Took a minute to find it since all the old links are dead since the Hexagon purchase.
