Convert neutral file to CaesarII Input file (v2019 to v2018) - 12/02/19 04:01 PM

Hi,

I have successfully converted v2019 C2 file to neutral file and getting following message when I try to convert neutral file to v2018 input file.

"Error processing ELEMENT section, line # 90."

Could anyone provide how to correct this error?

Hi mechengcalcan,

This video explains step by step.

If your model is pretty big, you will have to spend a little time extra for the editing in notepad.
You need to open the .cii file in notepad and do the changes as explained in the video.

In FEA translator there is an option to convert one file in an older version. I do not have Caesar 2019, but in 2018 it is possible to convert from V10 to V9.

Sharing the converter I made for my working to "downgrade" from version 11 to ver 8.
Be careful of the losses that occur in this downgrade and review the warnings. In particular the loss of 2 of the 6 restraints which can be defined in one auxiliary filed in ver 11 whereas only 4 can be defined in ver 8
