CAESAR II will no longer respond to HASP keys after May 2020 - 11/04/19 03:59 AM

The Caesar II welcome screen flashes the above message. Does it mean Caesar II will not run on any machine using the USB dongle?

Please can someone who knows clarify this message?

Even the monthly license? Or is that just for companies are still operating on the "x" number of runs method that they no longer support?

Not sure. I have a red USB type dongle. I hope it does not stop working after this date.

Can someone from Hexagon clarify please?

This has been announced for over a year now. Licensing is changing and everyone must move to ISL (which is backwards compatible with older versions of the software). Contact your Sales Representative for more information.

On the plus side, you could mount yours to a plaque and give it to the next stress analyst who retires.

For what it's worth, my company uses monthly licenses via the red network hasp as needed and this is the first time I've heard the licensing is changing.

It'd be nice if the people providing the new license keys and whatnot passed along that information.

The original announcement letter is dated July 2017, and can be found at this link: "New Licensing Announcement".

Since the development of the new licensing system was delayed, a revised letter was distributed, extending the expiration date to May 31, 2020. That revised letter is here.
