Edit Report - Print Node on Each Line - 09/12/19 12:17 PM

Hi,

I am working in a model with a large quantity of restraints and cases (14 cases and 450 supports). So I have to do a post process of the results in excel, in order to obtain the biggest supports loads in the model.

I want to edit the "Restraint Summary Extended" report to include the node number in each line (to make a filter for "MAX" in excel asociated to the node number). When I chek the box "Print Node on Each Line" the report doesn't change, doesn't print the nodes in each lines.

Could somebody help me to understand what I am doing wrong?

PD: I'm usig Caesar 2019

Thank you

I don't work for Interpgraph, but for whatever reason, CAESAR cannot output onto every line with displacements enabled. This has been the case for quite a while.

Though not ideal, you can accomplish this in Excel fairly easily using Power Query.

Power Query is a "new" feature in Excel 2016+, available to previous versions of Excel in the form of an add-on from Microsoft.

It has the ability to "fill down" blank spots in the output reports without special programming.

Power Query also has additional functionality applicable to stress analysts (with and without learning its programming language) that you may find beneficial. I know I do.
