GRP and metal together: load case editor problem - 02/05/19 02:30 AM

Usually having ONLY GRP pipe(following iso 14692 spec), inside load case editor you have to put values inside "OCC Load factors":

Hydrotest case: 1.33
OPE cases: 1.24
SUS case: 1
OCC cases: 1.33

(note: in the caesar main windows i set "system Design Factor" = 0.67)

Now the problem:

If in this "GRP-only" system you add a metal pipe (following B31.3 spec), in load case editor some "OCC load factors" will become grey, without value inside, no more editable.

SO:

adding a metal pipe and spec B31.3, DO CAESAR CALCULATE GRP PIPE CORRECTLY OR DO THE MISSING VALUES FALSE THE RESULTS?

thank you

I haven't checked this yet in detail. I would suggest to do a simple pipe system. Maybe a cantilever with 3 nodes (1 RTR and 1 CS = 2 elements) and do a manual check in excel.

If I have time I will go through it, but currently I'm fully loaded in work.

Warm Regards,
