Can I use adjust support as spring hgr by adjustment in opr cond ?

For a hot pump suction piping, I require a spring hanger, but have one adjustable support available at site.

Can I adjust support height as temp of pump suction piping rises to operation and carry on with operation till next shutdown ?

I can count on a spring to carry the load through a change in thermal strain at any time. I don't know if I can count on you to get out there and turn the screw with each change in temperature.
An owner may accept the solution but, as a designer, I would not suggest this as good design.

Thank you, Sir! We all accept your sane opinion!

Really, operating temperature of pump varies quite a lot in various operating scenarios.

Just one temperature condition in LDT does not mean otherwise, which many young ones in work share GIG economy thinks in our part of the World!

It is not really worth taking such risk, even for the owner, just to save the cost of one spring support!
