Stress analysis for High-Density Polyethylene pipes - 12/05/17 04:29 AM

Hi,

Is it possible to make a stress analysis for HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) pipes using Caesar II ?

If yes, what would be the code to use ?

Thanks in advance.

It is not recommended. Your pipe vendor may have recommendations for you. And you may be able to facilitate those recommendations through some CAESAR basic calcs.

It is possible, but you have to take into account some issues. Do a search in the forums for PE or thermoplastic and you will find more posts about this issue.

I would not even try. I would use the design manual from https://www.agru.at/ and use their items. Maybe there is somebody else who has the same. They can then redo the calcs and drawings if they like to tender.
