EJ joint evaluation - Unity check - 07/16/17 02:23 AM

Hi,

If we apply unity check for EJ, as per Peng book page 221 (near bottom of the page) saying "The normalized movements for all postulated operating modes are summed absolutely to become the total normalized movements in each movement category"

Also there is an example page 222, table 7.2 which is considering three operating modes of EJ (Install, Start-up/Shut-down/ Fluctuation) to calculate total normalized movements in each category (axial, lateral, bending). And total normalized movements in each category will be applied into Unity check equation

My questions:

CII EJ Rating module is allowing to import one load case only. Does CII consider the sistuation of multiple load cases to sum all movements as per above quote? Otherwise, manual input is the only choice I think.

c2 is evaluating the set of loads you import - so each load cases is considered individually.
