Configuration/Setup file - 09/06/06 03:23 AM

Hello
During the analysis of a line if liberal stresses are switched on or off why the Caesar do not reflect the change in the output?
Is there any provision of changing the liberal stresses to 0.9 or 0.5?

If you want to use liberal stress allowable to 0.9 or 0.5, instead of changing the allowable multiply the expansion load case by 1/0.9 =1.11 or 2 = 1/0.5 respectively. Liberal stress allowable toggle changes the expansion allowable only, not the computed value. So, output changes in % of expansion allowable reached at various nodes.

A subtle point...

You must error check your job to invoke any changes made to the Configuration File. If you change a configuration setting and re-analyze without error check, the new settings will not be used.

The error check uses the CAESAR.CFG. The analysis does not.

Hello Anjana ,
if u switch on the liberals on the allowables in the exp case will change , that is reflected in code check % in exp case only.
why u want to change liberal stress to 0.9 or 0.5.
