Offshore pipeline simulation

Hi all,
we want to perform stress analysis of an offshore pipeline designed as per DNV OS F101. First of all is there any special plug-in required for the analysis of offshore pipeline in Caesar ? In the Caesar help, piping code ID show DNV (1996). Does it mean the code is not updated in Caesar? As per DNV the pipeline can utilise the plastic limit as well with limiting strain. Does Caesar allow for such calculation of strain?.

Hi, Design of offshore pipeline as per DN F 101 is a very tricky thing. It would be better to know the exact details of your pipelines before commenting anything related with plastic strain limit.

Pune - you are correct, the only edition of DNV currently addressed by c2 is the 1996 edition. The 2013 edition is currently under review.

We are currently evaluating the latest edition of DNV for possible incorporation into c2 2019 (v.11).
