WIND AND SEISMIC ANALYSIS - 01/08/15 10:49 PM

Please note that i had modelling steam pipeline and Input parameters for high pressure steam pipeline are as below :

Design Code = ASME B31.1
Fluid = High Pressure Steam Pipe Size (Main Steam Header) = 219.1 mm
Design Thickness (Main Steam Header) = 23.01 mm
Pipe Size (Smaller Pipe – Limb) = 88.9 mm
Pipe Thickness (Smaller Pipe – Limb) = 11.13 mm
Design Pressure = 14366 KPa
Hydro Pressure = 21550 KPa
Design Temperature = 545°C
Mill Tolerance = 12.5%
Pipe Density = 0.00764 Kg/cm3
Fluid Density = 0.00004 Kg/cm3
Pipe Material = SA335 P91 (Alloy Steel)
Insulation Thickness = 100 mm
Insulation Density = Mineral Wool (0.00014)

Stress analysis performed at following load cases :

HYDRAULIC
OPERATING
SUSTAIN
EXPANSION

Now i have to analyse this model with WIND & SEISMIC load cases.

Please guide me brief steps for doing WIND & SEISMIC load cases.

Thanks in advance.

You need to seek guidance from your Lead Stress Engineer.

IMHO, this is a forum, not an educational website.

Dear,

You must define your load cases properly as per project requirements. See attachment "Load Case Definition in CAESAR II" for quick reference.

As mentioned, this is just a guide, and your lead stress engeneer will solve any doubt you could have.

Regards.
