Hey all,

I'm analysing Pressure reducing and metering station (PRMS) using b31.8
for 3[m] burried pipe will you use the underground pipe modeler?
i am not familiar with burried pipe equations.

thanks,
Orid

You should take a look at B31.8 before attempting any analysis. Yes you need to use the underground modeler so that your model has the appropriate soil restraints.

thanks, i'm familiar with the code b31.8. my questions is if the ALA equations are good enough for short buried pipe like long piping?

From the information you provide, I do not believe soil around just 3 meters of pipe will be significant in your analysis - applying ALA or not.
