Consider Pressure thrust on flexible victaulic or not - 04/11/14 09:23 AM

i have 3 pumps in series , also it system can handle individual discharges every single pump, pressures goes from 8.7 bar to 27 bar, due each connection between suction and discharge is restrictive ( 3 points) i want to put victaulic coupling, flexible ones, but i guess it should consider pressure thrust,to move until max displacement allowable in joint. when i consider thrust the load in the nozzles are too high. i need your advice about it. thanks at advance

(slurry pumps rough abrasive fluid)

David Diehl indicated on June 98 how to model flexible coupling ( volume 25), David dismissed using Expansion Joint, but in my case i have too rigid model for OPE EXP , because if i put a flexible coupling i suppose it will expand all gap (3.2 mm) due pressure thrust but it wont have a flexible relief around lateral Tee restraining for expansion. this model is failing taking an expansion joint in flexible couplings for OPE and EXP
