we are doing a subsea pipeline study for a LPG, could somebody guide if we can perform the buckling calculation using Caesar II software.

c2 does not perform buckling calculations.

Why CAESAR II does not perform buckling calculations?
Buckling Calculations is an important part of pipe stress analysis..
-please enlightened me
-thank you

CAESAR II treats pipe as 3D beam element, it is not a real pipe,
Ansys will be the best tool to modelling buckling

The Piping Codes assume a "linear-elastic" analysis. Therefore large deflections/rotations and 2nd order effects are not addressed.
