I am using CASAR II to determine the stress analysis of a 33km pipeline from one flowstation to another.
The design parameter are: Design pressure 100bar, operating pressure 70bar, design temp 60 deg., operating temp 35 deg, API 5L X52 Pipe, Nominal pipe size 6", sch. 120,.

I want to know how to use Caesar II in modelling from piping to pipeline.i.e from the flowstation to the undergound pipeline.

There is a "buried pipe" example in the Applications Guide. Review this first.

Dear all Good Mornning,

I have doubt on Displacment input.

In my case my starting node 10 is butt weld to tank nozzle. So in model i put anchor on that give connecting node "11" on that, then put the displacment value at connecting node 11. But When i run it in restraint Summary Only forces value is showing , Moments is all ZERO.

Why moments not showing in Report. Kindly tell me.

You need to specify also rotational displacements even these are 0, otherwise cnode 11 is free to rotate.

Be careful with specifying displacements. A blank field means that DOF is free. A zero means that DOF is fixed with a displacement of zero magnitude.

Kindly tell me some basic fundamental of analysis, like if our axial laod is greater then allowable loads so we can use taflon pad (mu-0.1). So
what's the other fundamentals for Longitudanal & Circumferential Forces & Moments.

But have you pdf of L C Peng. Currently i am reading Sam Kannappan's Introduction to "PIPING STRESS ANALYSIS".

Kindly Give me Exact answer of " Why we can not check Stress in Operating Condition?"

as i know to check this we use Appendix P option but i want to know What is the reason behind that caesar cant perform stress checking in operating condition.

Go through the code.I suppose you're using B31.3. See for yourself are there any allowable or equations for operating stresses??

You'll get your answer. Also, your interpretation about App P need to be revisited. May be you can ask your seniors for more guidance.
