Different Insulation Densities - 04/03/13 11:51 PM

Dear all,

I have 170 mm Insulation for pipe , with 70mm Cold Insulation of

40kg/m3 and 100 mm Acoustic Insulation with 100Kg/m3 . How to

input Correctly this in CAESAR , to calibrate the system with

Springs.

Calculate an equivalent single density and use the larger diameter. That will be accurate and allow for correct wind load results too.

For rigid elements, CAESAR II will apply an insulation weight based on 1.75 times the insulation weight for pipe of the entered OD.
