Error Running C2Config.exe - 03/06/13 10:56 PM

When running the configuration editor in CII v2013 on a Windows 7, 64 bit machine this message appears:

"C2Config.exe has stopped working"

The hourglass appears, but nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Forgot to add that the Caesar.cfg file is properly located in the system directory

Open a support request on eCustomer. This is the first report of this, so this issue needs to be tracked.

Hi Richard,

This is very urgent issue for us, and we cannot use C II for this reason. I was wondering if someone act ASAP.

Kind regards,

Ibrahim,

The Configuration Module is a ".Net" application with a couple of 3rd party tool components. This module needs several DLLs registered to work properly. In the c2 program directory you'll find a batch file named "netuserc2.bat", which will attempt to register all required components. You will need "admin rights" for this to work properly.

I suggest:
- navigate to the c2 program folder
- in Windows Explorer, find "netuserc2.bat"
- right-click on this file, and "run as administrator"

If this doesn't work, you'll have to get your IT department involved, something on your system is preventing this module from running. For example, if you're running Windows8, only ".Net-4.5" is enabled by default. You'll have to enable ".Net-3.5/4.0" for those applications (like the c2 Configuration Module) that need these earlier implementations.

(I'm out the remainder of this week, and I may not have access to these Forums. I recommend you go through the eCustomer Support Channel for this. Issues are logged and tracked, and we can better see where people are having issues with the software.)
