Hello friends,
Just one more doubt. So, when I have the following situation below:

1) W+T1+P1+WIN1 (operation with occasional load)
2) W+T1+P1 (standard operation)
3) W+P1 (sustained load)
4) L1-L3 (expansion load)
5) L1-L2 (segregated occasional)
6) L1+L5 (occasional code stress case)

So, tell me if I'm right:

- 1, 2 and 3 I use the report "Restraint Load Summary" to evaluate the loads in supports, equipments, etc...
- 3 and 4 I use "Stress Summary" report to evaluate the stresses in piping.

And case 5 and 6 ? Does I use case 5 for evaluate something? And case 6, Does I use it to evaluate stresses or loads?

L4 should be L2-L3 not L1-L3

L5 is a construction case needed for L6

L6 is for stresses

Mr. Brown has a webinar that explains a lot regarding the loadcases.

Case 6 is wrong, you want L3+L5 (sustained plus occasional), not "combined operating plus occasional".

Everyone who "registers" their software is on the e-mail announcement every month. This is used to distribute the newsletter, with links to the Blog and the Webinars.

If you don't register, you don't receive the e-mails....

Companies "register" the software through IT folks which are not the final users. Final users are not necesary aware of Caesar site, forum or webinars.

Maybe if you publish the links on the main Caesar window which is empty now, you will encourage all the people to visit your site.

How about this idea?

It is valid also for the eCustomer service. If a final user work for a corporation it is quite impossible to have an account with enough rights in order to be satisfactory.

for a restraint load case ( HZ ode HS ).
Restraint load cases (for structure stress) :
H sustained load
HZ sustained load + additional load
HS sustained load + occasional load

WIND are additional or occasional load
EARTHQUAKE are occasional load

This load case is calculation by CII ??
I asked because I need to check something but I don't know how to build this load case ??

Hoop stress is not a "code stress" calculation for many piping codes, not for B31.1 & B31.3. Insteead, these cpiping codes set a rule for minimum wall thickness based on the pressure thickness (t). If you re-arrange the (Boardman) equation for this thickness, you find it is based on the hoop stress formula (Barlow) with an adjustment to get closer to the Lame stress and account for possible creep (y).

CAESAR II will produce a hoop stress due to pressure for every load case including pressure (P1, P2, etc.). You see the maximum hoop stress in the stress report summary. If you go to the "Stresses Extended" report you will see hoop stress for every element.

CAESAR II does not generate a hoop stress for other loads. Any load that ovalizes the pipe is creating a added (local) hoop stress. These added hoop stresses are what can lead to a fatigue failure of the component and are typically accounted for in the stress intensification factor. Other loads, such as a point load on the pipe circumference (think of traffic load on a shallow buried pipe), are not within the scope of CAESAR II. CAESAR II provides a system model using simple beams in bending and there is no shell to crush.

Additional point, Case 5 the segregated occasional or as we say on the floor "wind by itself" is used by Structural for their detailed load case evaluations.

Also for local stress and FEA type code evaluations The Wind Only loads are evaluated and then combined with other loads to check code requirements. This depends on how the software or spreadsheets are setup.

Hoop stress is depends upon the fluid pressure running inside the pipe.
So it wont comes under code stress. For further details refer below link
