Occasional Loads and solutions - 10/11/12 06:58 AM

Hy Guy,

I am defining occasional loads regarding seismic action. Does anybody can tell me in which way B31.3 consider this type of load?or does anybody know the paragraph in which it is explained and translated to solving equation? I have checked the equation used for the EXP and SUS case....I was asking to myself if anybody has an example of solution by hand of a simple pipe system...I would like to solve something by hand in order to compare the solution with the result of the software...am I crazY? may be...but i would like to understand in which way the piping system is solved...is it considered as well as an exercise of Science of Construction?

Thank you for your useful help

I can send you the MathCAD computations for occasional code stress and a sample file that relates to the MathCAD calculations. The MathCAD also provides the sections of the code that contain the equations. To do so, I need you to log a support request (SR) in eCustomer at https://crmweb.intergraph.com
