Node name in CAESAR - 09/10/12 06:04 AM
Dear CAESAR user,
In CAESAR5.30 for node name definition, one can define the 10 digit long name, Is it possible to define the long name more than 10 digits for particular nodes?
I need to define the supports name (more than 10 character)at that place.
With Regard
Aditya Singh

Go to input tool>increment node

Dear NRAM
Thanks for your prompt reply.
But you understand my question wrongly.
it is related with Node name (how many character we can insert for node name) not the increment of the nodes.
Regards
Aditya

As far as I know there is no way to enter longer names than the 10 available characters.

No you can't use a longer name. The main reason we limited the name length was so that the names could be used in the output reports. Longer names would push numerical data values off the right side of the page.

Any text you enter should be treated as the name, and displayed when you turn on the option to "use node names" (you did turn that on in the Output Module)?
If you can't get it to work, open a Support Request on eCustomer and send in your job file, with details of your Computer System and the exact version of c2 you're running.
