Virtual Anchor Length - 06/27/12 10:47 PM

Hi All,

I am doing a buried pipe modeling for the first time. I know from manual that soil modeler calculates the VAL. My question is : where can I see the calculated VAL?

Thank you very much in advance.

you can not see it in the output. it is on the list once you convert your system into a buried model.

this is a post from ages ago, you can refer to it too.

Hi:

I use this formula to calculate the virtual anchor lenght, with a Marston theory for friction force between pipe and silt; but when I use the buried pipe model of Caesar II, I get another value for VAL. Caesar II: 220m vs Formula with Marston: 450m

Any ideas for the difference???

Hi,

I solve my problem, I confuse the friction coef. of internal soil and between soil and pipe. I insert all the pipeline in Caesar II.
