Looking under the hood for stress calculations.

Looking under the hood for stress calculations. - 05/15/12 05:59 PM

I'm looking for some details in the Caesar II documents around how it calculates code stresses (not the allowables).

I'm currently reading through the Technical Reference Manual Chapter 6.

I have a client wishing to know the specific calculations used to calculate 'code stress' and how it compares to "Max 3D intensity".

Does anyone know where I might find these formulas/calculations listed in the documentation?

Thanks!

Just found what I was looking for in the Quick Reference Guide.

IMO, there should really be some cross referencing between the different manuals.

Thanks,

Thanks Dave! This is a million times better and very clear. And I learned a few MathCad tricks.
