Error Message in WRC 107 Nozzle Analysis - 04/10/12 10:17 AM

I am doing a WRC 107 nozzle analysis on a test separator. The nozzle being analyzed and the vessel are both horizontal. The nozzle is at the head of the vessel. Caesar is giving me an error message stating, "Directional Cosine of the Vessel and Nozzle should be orthogonal."

Has anyone had a similar problem with nozzle analysis where the nozzle and vessel are not perpendicular? If so, what did you do?

TIA

This issue is discussed in many earlier posts on this Forum - please use the [Search] option.

In short, WRC107 is for cylinder-cylinder intersections. If your centerlines are aligned (as they will be for a nozzle on a head), there is no intersection, hence the error. Technically, WRC107 does not address this configuration.
