Flange leakage ckech directly in CAESAR by clicking in sheet - 01/07/12 12:03 PM

Sir
I don't know when ever i clicked on flange tab in spread sheet then my Caesar II 5.2 program become hang....Even I did multiple times but I don't get the real problem.

One more question I would like to ask, generally I moduled flange as rigid with weight( between two nodes in single spreadsheet)when click on flange tab, then we have option to click either ...to ,from or both then I clicked on both node...I think I am doing right.
Plz confirm.

Dear nitesh,

I think you have to choose the node of flanged connection. for instance if you have a weldneck flange from node 40 to 50 and you have buttweld connection on node 40 and face of flange on node 50, you have to choose node 50 for peq or ASME check.

Dear Moderator, Please correct me (or delete my post) if it is wrong.

Nitesh,

Can you provide details on this problem - where is the process hanging (input, error check, building static load cases, analysis, or output)?

Also, what exact 'build' are you using: 5.20.xx ?

Sir

I was happening for one file only...not for all...so I think it maybe corrupted....

But can u explicate the points given by Solmaz ??

I didn't find option there to identified which Node is Face of flange or Buttweld.I just clicked node of "both" type because usually I model flange as rigid with weight.

It would be nice to get to the bottom of this. Open a Support Request (SR) in eCustomer, include the version and build of your copy of CAESAR II, and attach the job file.
