Fin type exchanger head flexiblity - 11/20/05 07:33 AM

Dear All,
I have problem to simulate the fin type exchanger header flexibility, we know that the tee connect with header and nozzle have some kind of flexibility factor, but I don’t know how to estimate this factor, WRC297 can’t provide this calculation. Dose any one can give me some information related this issue?

very thanks.
Dose it existing any simply calculation for the nozzle and header flexibility factor ? not by FE, only by experience formula?

They are typically very rigid. Sides of the nozzle align with the flat plate front and back of the header. FEA would be the only option if you wanted to consider flexibility of the nozzle.
