Modelling large D/d tees

Modelling large D/d tees - 11/14/11 12:40 AM

Hello,

Recently I encountered the mechanical engineering news volume 26. (issued december 1998)
http://www.coade.com/Uploads/mechanical-engineering-news/dec98.pdf
I got a question about the modelling large D/d tees section.

When modelling a large D/d tee the SIF values are obtained with the SIF scratchpad from the node 2020 for the right tee type. (as described on page 8 and in fig. 4 from mech engineering news vol 26)

Then these obtained values are filled in at the blank tee type at node 2025. (on node 2025 to 2200).
I was now wondering if the original SIF at node 2020 must be deleted or do I have to leave it there?
So when the large D/d tee is correctly modelled do I have only one SIF location at node 2025 or two SIF locations at 2020 and 2025?

Regards,
