Jacketed Pipe Caesar II Modelling of Anchor with Cnode - 10/18/11 08:32 PM

Dear All,
I have one question regarding caesar modelling of Cnode Anchor.I have a jacketed piping system modelled, the jacket to core connection modelled as Anchor to Core pipe & cnode to Jacket & next element of the core pipe.

Is modelling in this manner is In-correct?If so,Why? what is the correct way to model it.
The another question If the Anchor modelled to Jacket & cnode to Core,What is the effect the sign of forces reverse ,Is the sign of forces significant in calculation of jacketed piping?

Dear Raj

You can put anchor at core pipe with Cnode at Jacket point & vice versa.
Sign of force in this case will not have any effect in overall piping stress calculation. It's similar to action & equal & opposite reaction type concept.
