can some body tell me what is the basic difference between restrained and unrestrained line and support.

Dear Prakash,

Unrestrained means that the pipe is free to displace laterally and to strain axially.
example above ground piping .

Restarined pipe includes underground piping , sections of above ground piping closely rigid supports and anchors.[defination itself saying behaviour of piping]
