Hello, I have the following problem with a vessel:

I'm calculating a very tall vertical vessel (a tower)where the thickness of the bottom cylinders of the shell are given by the longitudinal stress acting on them (because of the wind so the pressure is low). The thikness required only for pressure is 19 mm, but i had to select a thickness of 45 mm!! because of the wind (the tower is 75 metres tall and 2400 mm diameter)

The tower has two 36" nozzles in the bottom cylinders and I have to evaluate the external loads provided from a stress analyisis of the piping.

I think that is incorrect to use the WRC 107 analysis in a conection placed in a shell where the longitudinal stress is so high! When I do it in CODECALC, the nozzle verify very well but żDo the WRC-107 analysis take into account these longitudinal stress acting in the shell?

Am I correct? Please any help will be welcomed.
